This was captured in the historic Mayan ruins just outside of Tulum. We were down here for another Central American birthday trip, and to see our good bud Johnny. 
 
There were so many incredible artifacts creating a window to an ancient time and space in this area.  I was fixated on these cactuses cling to each other on the edge of a cliff. I couldn't help but wonder if there had been people in that exact place considering taking there chances with a plunge into the ocean instead of being dragged to the top of the sacrificial alter.
